No, not really. That was the best weekend I've had recently.

I better get a call! I want to hear it.

[She laughed and shook her head at the response.]

There was definitely work waiting for the three weeks I spent in LA, working on cars, racing with this very attractive man I met and generally enjoying myself. Really, they're so inconsiderate!

Me too. Never thought a kidnapping could be so good.

[Truth be told, she wasn't like the other girls who dreamt about their wedding days and planned out to the T. Hell, she'd thought she was lucky to make it this far in life. Still, with her family, she was pretty sure there was no other way but with a big wedding. Their family in of itself was large and they would naturally have to invite others from the community.]

Well, I knew why Aust and Blake didn't follow us but I was surprised when one of yours didn't follow us. Especially Vince.

We did go to a rather fancy hotel.

They probably thought I'd drive around the city or get roped into some sort of race. I'm pretty sure if you asked them now after we were gone for those couple of days, they would definitely have followed!

No one would expect to find me there.

[ And it's part of why he liked it. Because it was them. Not anything else but them. ]

Bet they called every racer they knew that could be in the area. Just to see if they'd seen us. So they might have gotten reports.
