[6] Character Study

Prompt: Muse Revival #139
Ten friends family (because they are one in the same in my life) and one thing you love about each of them

Scott Richards

There's no doubt about it, I love this man. You can find out how we met in my previous posts. Scott has been the main constant in my life since we were three and honestly, I can't imagine what life would be like without him. I love that he challenges me to step out of my comfort zone and I inspire him to do the same. I love that we've known each other for so long that there doesn't always need to be words to convey what we're thinking. Which, honestly, is it's own challenge but... it's nice. He's my partner in crime on car restorations and it's a ton of fun, when we're not distracted by each other.

Abby Stevenson

Fuck, Abby is so fucking creative and I love that I can simply talk to her and she gets it. We're only a few months apart in age but we essentially grew up in the same situation and had eight older 'brothers' looking out for us. She's always up for an adventure and is usually my partner in crime in essentially everything. I can't count how many times we've gotten into trouble with each other over the years. [smiles] Yeah, I love that woman. She and I work together on marketing items for the garage and the tattoo parlor in between her job at the gallery. Did I mention she's a hella amazing artist too? No? Well, she is.

Jason Cummings

Jason is my brother from another mother and we have a fantastic sibling relationship. I love that despite whatever we may say to each other and banter back and forth, I know he'd be there for me if I need him. Just as I would do for him. He's so damn intelligent and he doesn't always apply himself. I'm happy that he's found something he's interested in pursuing.

Don Perez

Honestly, I had the biggest fucking crush on Don back in the day. I didn't exactly trust any of them right away but they consistently showed up. And, that was nice. Compared to so many others over the years. I love that despite being a teenager himself, he still took a chance on us. I mean, especially Scott and Jason who were going through a phase. Not to mention two pre-teen girls who had walls up. He was a comforting presence and so damn patient when teaching us how to fix cars and how to drive. He's also a fucking force to be reckoned with. I've seen him get into guy's face who are being disrespectful.

Ricky Camerino

Ricky, Ricky, Ricky... what can I say about Ricky? It should go without saying that I fucking love all these guys that I'll be talking about here and he's no different. I love this man. He can't cook for shit. No, really. Once, when we were grounded and it was his day to cook (and not just order), he "threw together some ingredients" and made some sort of greyish goup that he called 'pasta sauce'. It... was only barely edible. Anyway, where he lacks in cooking, he makes up for in his sense of humor and his ability to put anyone at ease. Between him and Don, since they're the oldest, he's the easiest to get things by. Not that we'd ever tell him that exactly.

Austin Thompson

I love how Austin gives the best damn hugs. For real. He's also crazy talented. Both of my tattoos are his work and I'm already talking to him about a shoulder piece. Austin and I dated for a hot minute, if you really want to call it dating but when they moved to Los Angeles, we decided to breakup. It was for the best, honestly but it still hurt. Still, I love how despite all of that, he's still someone I can turn to and if I need or want a hug, he's there.

Blake Andrews

Blake is super freaking talented, much like Austin and Abby. Not only does he do exceptional tattoos but he also does killer murals. He's the brains behind the murals at the shop and the tattoo parlor. It's definitely added character and helps both places stand apart. I love that he's also a great person to drag on spontaneous road trips when he's in town. He's always one of the first people Abby and I will grab when the mood hits. In fact, I think he anticipates it just as much as we do.

Alex Hernandez

I love that Alex is always down for exploring some reportedly haunted location with me. And while he may joke it off or deny it, I think he enjoys it just as much as I do. Before Scott and I got together, Alex was usually the first person to come to me when I was mad or upset, just to provide that comfort and make me laugh. He had his Mom growing up and so... I think that made him a bit more aware of girls and how we worked? Whereas the other guys didn't always get it. The man is so fucking smart and if anyone has a computer issue, he and Nathan are the first people ask.

Nathan Hargrove

Nathan, like Alex, is usually dragged along with Abby and I on any ghost tour or ghost hunt we do. I love (and maybe am a little jealous) that he's also the one that tends to have more experiences than anyone I know. [grins] He's super intelligent and computers are his thing. He and Alex have gotten in trouble numerous times over the years for hacking into things they shouldn't necessarily be hacking into.

Alicia Hernandez

Alicia is... basically all of our Mom's. Before meeting the other guys, she was there and made sure we were okay or asked if we needed anything. A time or two, she simply dropped by and dropped off food specifically for us. I love that she's so... giving and cares about kids who aren't her own. That she cared for us even when we weren't in school with Alex anymore because she knew that we didn't have anyone else. She was a good person for Abby and I to go to when we had female questions that the guys were exactly able to handle. I also love that she's fucking fierce.

So. That's my family, those are my friends and I will do anything for them. Yeah, I went off prompt a bit but... I felt like talking about my family so, I guess there are worse things out there.
